Combining scientific excellence
with compassionate concern.

At Northeast Radiation Oncology Center, we understand that a diagnosis of cancer can be very upsetting for you and your family.  You may have misconceptions about cancer treatment options and possible treatment side effects. You may not know what radiation therapy is, or why it is effective in treating cancer. That’s why we are here to help you ~ to listen carefully to your concerns, provide thorough explanations, and address your many questions and concerns through comprehensive education, social services support, and nutritional counseling.

Before you actually begin your radiation therapy, we spend considerable time planning your treatment very precisely and determining your exact treatment dosage.  At NROC, our exceptional team of physicians and medical physicists works closely with our therapists to assure that this critical planning results in the best possible outcome for you.

We also provide the most advanced radiation treatment options, such as Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy, known as IMRT.  IMRT allows us to deliver a maximum dose of radiation to a cancerous tumor while sparing surrounding healthy tissue from unnecessary exposure.  Thanks to this state-of-the-art therapy, we can reduce unwanted side effects so you can lead a more normal, healthy life during and after your treatment.
